Getting started

Do I need a credit card to use OryzaPay?+

No. You can create an account and use OryzaPay's core features without ever entering a credit card. There is no free trial that turns into a charge later.

What do I need to sign up?+

Just your name and an email address. That's it to get started — you can add your bills and payments once you're in.

Is this a banking app? Will you move my money?+

No. OryzaPay doesn't hold your money or make payments for you. It's a place to see and track what you owe, so you always know where you stand before you pay.

Why start in Ontario?+

We want to get it right for a smaller group of people before opening it up further. Ontario is our first home, with the rest of Canada to follow.

Security & privacy

Do I have to connect my bank account?+

Not if you don't want to. You can type in your bills, loans and payments by hand. Connecting an account is entirely optional and can be turned off at any time.

What happens to my information?+

Your information is encrypted and never sold. Only you can see your full picture, and you can delete your account and data whenever you choose.

What will OryzaPay never ask me for?+

We'll never ask for your full Social Insurance Number or your online banking password. If you connect an account, that's handled through a secure process — we never see or store your bank password.

Can I delete my account and data?+

Yes, at any time, from your account settings. When you delete your account, your data is deleted with it.

Pricing

Will OryzaPay ever cost money?+

The core experience is free during early access. We may explore optional paid features later, but the basics aren't disappearing behind a paywall without clear warning.

Will I be charged without knowing?+

No. We don't collect payment details when you join, so there's nothing to charge automatically. See our Pricing page for the full picture.

Family & sharing

Can I help manage a parent's or family member's account?+

Optional, permission-based sharing lets a trusted family member view or help manage an account. It's set up by the account holder and can be changed or removed at any time.

Does sharing give someone full control of my account?+

No — you choose what a shared contact can see or do. It's designed to help, not to hand over control.

Accounts & using OryzaPay

What devices does OryzaPay work on?+

OryzaPay starts as a website, so it works in any browser on your computer, tablet, or phone — no separate download required to get going.

Can I get help if I'm stuck?+

Yes — a Canadian support line with real people, not just a chatbot. Contact us any time.

Can I stop using OryzaPay whenever I want?+

Yes. There's no contract or commitment. You can stop using it, or delete your account entirely, whenever you choose.
